Harvey Andrews age 93 of Bowling Green formerly of Troy passed away Saturday July 5, 2008 at the Maple Grove Lodge in Louisiana. Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday July 8, 2008 at the Mudd-Veach Funeral Home in Bowling Green with Rev. David Land officiating. Burial will be in Old Alexandria Cemetery near Troy. Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. Tuesday until the time of service at the funeral home.
He was born January 19, 1915 in Troy, the son of Samuel Henderson and Sarah Jane Mathews Andrews. He is survived by many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by half brother Roy C. Andrews; half sisters Mable Blair, Mary Ann Stuckey and Goldie Russell.
He lived in Troy until moving to Bowling Green in 1990. He had been a grain and livestock farmer and a carpenter most of his life. He worked in maintenance for Cuivre River State Park for many years before he retired. Harvey enjoyed gardening, writing to friends and painting pictures.
Serving as pallbearers will be Bob Hammett, Dola Hammett, David Steadman, Jeremiah Steadman, Cedric Bronson, and Junior Grimmett.
