Susan K. Beatty of Curryville passed away Tuesday January 20, 2009 at her home.  Memorial services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday January 24, 2009 at the Mudd-Veach Funeral Home in Bowling Green with Al Wortman officiating.  Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service on Saturday.

She was born February 10, 1953 in Santa Paula, CA. to J. W. Hoffman and Bessie Cox and stepfather Lee Allen Cox and stepmother Blanche Hoffman.  She married Myron “Neil” Beatty on December 23, 1971, with the ceremony being performed by Rev. William A. Knowles in his home in Clarence.  Together they owned and operated Beatty Pallet and Lumber Co. for 27 years, and had worked for C. Beatty, LLC for the last four years. 

She is survived by her loving husband Neil, one daughter April Sue Berendzen and husband Robert of Higbee; one son Chuck Beatty and wife Niki of Bowling Green; six grandkids Austin, Ashley, Bradley and Claire all of Higbee, Tyler of El Cajon, CA and Trenton Russell of Bowling Green; one half sister LeeAnn Cox of Marthasville; stepmother Blanche Hoffman of Clarence; four brothers Jim Hoffman and wife Sarah of Clarence, Larry Hoffman and wife Shirley of Moberly and two others. 

A few things Susan really enjoyed were special times with her girl friends, fishing, flowers, her humming birds, her animals expecially Paco and spending time with her husband and family.

She was preceded in death by her father, mother and stepfather.
