Virginia "Ginny" Blackshaw

Virginia “Ginny” Green Blackshaw, 80, of Gold Canyon, AZ, formerly of Frankford, passed away at 7:40pm, Saturday June 23, 2007 in Mesa, AZ with family by her side following a long illness. 

Memorial services will be at 10:00am Friday, July 6, at the Frankford Presbyterian Church with Dr. Robert Miller officiating.  Private burial will follow at Grand View Cemetery in Hannibal.

Ginny was born September 23, 1926 to parents Harry O. and Leora Johnson McCune in Vandalia, MO and graduated from Frankford High School, Class of 1944.

She was married to Robert Francis Blackshaw of Frankford on May 25, 1947 and together they lived and raised their children, Ginger and Robert, in New York, Missouri, Hawaii, and Washington State before retiring to Frankford, MO.

Her husband preceded her in death September 16, 1997.  Also preceding her in death were infant daughter Donna Lee and sister Bobby Jane Morgan of Springfield, MO.

She is survived by her son Robert O. Blackshaw and wife Susan of Mesa, AZ, daughter Ginger Moratin and husband Mike of Kaneohe, HI, granddaughter Kelli Blackshaw of Tucson, AZ, grandsons Owen Blackshaw of Gilbert, AZ, Michael Moratin, Justen Moratin and Christian Moratin of Kaneohe, HI, Aunt Marjorie Thornton of Bowling Green, MO, and niece Lestra Ann Cameron of Springfield, MO.

Ginny was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star Chapter 167 of NY, Beta Sigma Phi of Gold Canyon, and the Red Hat Society.  She was also a member of the Haw Creek Club of Frankford and a member of the Frankford Presbyterian Church.
