James Bogert age 72 of Bowling Green, passed away Tuesday June 15, 2010 at his home. Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday at the Mudd-Veach Funeral Home in Bowling Green with Rev. Randall Cone officiating. Burial will be in the Greenwood Cemetery in Clarksville. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
He was born November 14, 1937 in Franklin, IA, the son of Roy Fred and Elvira Steneker Bogert. On October 9, 1960 he married Frances Corson. She survives. Also surviving are two sons David Bogert and wife Dena of Troy and Paul Bogert and wife Jennifer of Eolia; and one granddaughter Paige Bogert of Troy. He was preceded in death by his parents; one granddaughter Lauren Bogert and one brother Harold Bogert.
Mr. Bogert moved to Pike County in 1966 where he lived and worked as a production supervisor for Holnam Cement Company in Clarksville. He served in the United States Navy and was a lifetime member of the National Rifle Association.
Serving as pallbearers will be Jon Bogert, William Bogert, Tim Marshall, David Bogert, Paul Bogert and John Shaw.
