Nina E. Brandengurger

Nina E. Brandenburger, 71 of New Hartford passed away March 12, 2009 at the St. Luke’s Hospital West in Chesterfield.  Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Tuesday, March 17th at the Mudd-Veach Funeral Home in Bowling Green with Rev. Jerry Gamm officiating.  Burial will be in the New Liberty Cemetery near Silex.  Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home.

She was born March 25, 1937 in Corso, the daughter of Edward Enoch and Jessie Rue Halley Cox.  She continued to live in Corso until after graduation from high school at which time she moved to Bowling Green and began working.  She married Donald Ray Brandenburger in Bowling Green on June 15, 1968. They moved to the farm in New Hartford where they lived all their lives.  He preceded her in death on January 13, 2006.  Survivors include son, James Brandenburger and wife Tracy of Bowling Green; daughter Melinda Gosnell and husband Gene of Bowling Green; three brothers Larry Cox and wife Renee of Foley, Harry Cox of Silex, Jerry Cox and wife Jeannie of Silex; two sisters Gardelia Akers of Troy and Thelma Luebrecht and husband Ken of Bowling Green; four grandchildren Max and Zoe Brandenburger, Cole Jensen and Shae Gosnell.  She was preceded in death by her parents and twin siblings who died in infancy Paula Cox and Paul Cox.

  She was a member of the New Liberty Methodist Church near Corso until its closing; she then attended the Second Baptist Church in Bowling Green.  She worked as a seamstress all of her working years, working for Bobbie Brooks and Bridal Original in Bowling Green.  She enjoyed bowling and was a member of the United States Bowling Congress.  She also enjoyed cross stitching and spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Serving as pallbearers will be Jason Kuntz, Jeff Kuntz, Craig Luebrecht, Chad Dempsey, Alan Dempsey,
Junior Simmons, Kelly Long and Brian Brandenburger.

Memorials maybe made to the Pike County Home Health and Hospice.
