Odetta (Ma) Brown age 83 of Mountain Home, AR. passed away Monday December 24, 2007 at the Baxter Regional Hospital in Mountain Home, AR.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Friday at the Mudd-Veach Funeral Home in Bowling Green with Rev. Don Amelung officiating. Burial will be in the Bowling Green Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
She was born May 18, 1924 in Goss, the daughter of Charles Chester and Alice May Lutz Musgrove. She married Ernest H. Brown on August 18, 1946 in Bowling Green. He preceded her in death on April 20, 1990.
Survivors include three sons Sonny Brown, Leland Brown and wife Kim all of Hannibal, Jimmy Brown of Lakeview, AR; six daughters Christina Pruitt and husband Ron of Lakeview, AR., Laurine Langley of Van Buren, AR, Gertie Gower and husband Doug of Hannibal, Gladys Earnest and husband Jeff of Monroe City, Debbie Kelley and husband Wilbert of Hannibal, Judy Lopez and husband Francisco of Wright City; 21 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren; three brothers Charles Musgrove of Carthage, Kenneth Musgrove of Lamar, Albert Musgrove of Van Buren; one sister Margaret Duty of Lamar and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter Pauline Brown; one son Earl Brown both in infancy; one grandson Willie Kelley; two sisters Patty Kelley and Norma Walkins.
Mrs. Brown grew up in the Paris area then lived in Pike and Ralls Counties for many years. She had spent the last several years in Mountain Home AR. then when her health began to decline, moved to Lakeview AR. with her daughter. She had worked for Starks Nursery for several years. She enjoyed gardening, raising flowers, crafts, quilting, working puzzles and fishing. Mrs. Brown also enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
Serving as pallbearers will be James Smith, Jason Kelley, Nathan Brown, Ernie Langley, Porky Pruitt, Wayne Brown, Russell Schindler and Willie Schindler.
