Vicki Vogel Burns age 64 of New Orleans, LA. passed away Saturday March 17, 2007 at her home.

Memorial services will be held 6:30 p.m. Friday March 30 at the Mudd-Veach Funeral Home in Bowling Green with Rev. Jerry Gamm officiating.  Memorial visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until the time of service on Friday at the funeral home.  Her remains were cremated and final interment will be in Arlington National Cemetery, Washington, DC.

She was born September 12, 1942 in Pittsfield, IL., to Vernon and Genevieve Franklin Vogel.  She married Col. John Burns, USMC Ret.

Surviving are her husband; two daughters Victoria Milla and husband Fabio of New Orleans, LA., Lynn VanCamp and husband David of Boyton Beach, FL; grandchildren Fernando Casey, Esperanza Milla and Genevieve VanCamp; one brother LeRoy Vogel and wife Margie of Bowling Green and one sister Lorraine Ellis and husband Joe of Hannibal.  She was preceded in death by her father in 1988 and mother in 2005.

Mrs. Burns attended Bowling Green R-1 Schools graduating in 1960 and University of Missouri graduating in 1964.  She taught home economics at Bowling Green Junior High School in 1967-68.  She retired from teaching fourth grade at St. Rosalie Elementary School in Harvey, LA.
