Mabel Marie Bybee

Mabel Marie Bybee age 99 of Bowling Green passed away February 7, 2008 at the Moore-Pike Nursing Home.  Funeral Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday February 9 at the Mudd-Veach Funeral Home in Bowling Green with the Rev. Bob Hoehn officiating.  Burial will be in the Green Lawn Cemetery.  Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service on Saturday.

            She was born September 12, 1908 in New Hartford the daughter of Edd and Grace Williams Moss.  In 1931 she married Clyde Bybee, he preceded her in death in 1956.  Survivors include a son Eddie Bybee and wife Betty of Bowing Green; daughter Charla Smith and husband Bud of Independence; a sister-in-law Dorothy Moss of New Hartford; four grandchildren Ron Bybee of Bowling Green, Kenny Smith of Blue Springs, Nancy Case of Vandalia, and Jerry Smith of Blue Springs.  She was preceded in death by a granddaughter Sandy (smith) Henderson in 1996; two sisters Hazel Luebbers and Willa Moss who died in infancy; four brothers Sidney Moss, Hurley Moss, her tiwn Mitchell Moss and Kirby Moss.

            She lived in Bowling Green all of her adult life and worked at various Garment Factories as a seamstress.  She was Baptist by faith, enjoyed playing bingo, cards and going to garage sales.

            Serving as pallbearers will be Ron Bybee, Kenny Smith, Jerry Smith, Ruth Hill, Nancy Case, Schuyler Case.
