Aubrey C. Curless

Aubrey C. Curless age 73 of Bowling Green passed away Friday November 9, 2007 at his residence. 

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a. m. Monday at the Mudd-Veach Funeral Home in Bowling Green with Rev. Jim Miller officiating.  Burial will be at Mt. Zion Cemetery near Bowling Green.  Visitation for Mr. Curless will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

He was born November 12, 1933 in Perry, the son of Guy Leroy and Clara Leatha Stone Curless.  He married Sally Petersen on August 1, 1958 in Davenport, Ia.  She survives.  Also surviving are three sons James Curless and wife Pamela of Silvis, Ill., Jeffrey Curless and friend Diane Barnes of Enid, OK., Philip Curless and wife Christine of Colona, Ill.; one daughter Sharon Potts and husband Kenneth of Springfield, Ohio; seven grandchildren and one great grandchild; two brothers Clifford Curless of Hannibal and Donald Curless of St. Peters.  He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers and one stepbrother.

Mr. Curless served in the United States Army.  He lived in East Moline, Ill and Springfield, Oh. where he was employed for International Harvester for 30 years.  In July 1993 he moved to Bowling Green where he worked for Walmart in Louisiana in the sporting department for 6 years before retiring.  He enjoyed motorcycle riding, nature, including bird watching, fishing and other outdoor activities.  He was a member of the NRA. 

Memorials may be made to the family.

Serving as pallbearers will be Stanley Petersen, Douglas Curless, Craig Curless, Darrell Curless, Mike Von Vain, and Bobby Dempsey.  Honorary pallbearers will be Steve Condon, John Minor and Mike Green.
