Patsy Daffron

Patsy Nan Daffron age 71 of New Hartford passed away Tuesday January 29, 2008 at her home.  Funeral services will be held 11:30 a.m. Saturday at the Mudd-Veach Funeral Home in Bowling Green with Rev. Don Amelung officiating.  Burial will be in the Eolia Cemetery. Visitation for Mrs. Daffron will be held from 10 a.m. Saturday until the time of service.   
She was born, April 12, 1936 in rural Bowling Green, the daughter of Denny and Mary Graham Jester.  In November 1952, she married Cecil Daffron.  He preceded her in death on August 14, 2003.  Survivors include one son Carl Daffron and wife Karen of Vandalia; one daughter Cindy Daffron of Columbia; grandchildren James and Stephanie Govero, Jessica Salmon, Ryan Daffron and Sarah Robinson; great grandchildren Drake Kitner, Brianna Govero, Chelsie and Darlene Salmon, Devin and Makenzie Oliver, Brett and Avery Daffron, Celia Robinson; one brother Buddy Jester of the State of Texas; one sister Bessie Blackwell of St. Louis.  She was preceded in death by one sister Vickie Fenner.   
Patsy grew up in the Eolia area, moved to St. Louis when she got married, and returned to Pike County in 1969.  She was raised in the Baptist Faith.  Pat loved to play the guitar, the harmonica and sing old country folk songs like the Red River Valley.  She also enjoyed many pets; dogs, cats, cattle and even chickens.  She was known for telling many a scary story.  She will be missed by all the family.   
Pallbearers will be Neal Blackwell, Benjamin Blackwell, Denny Jester, Ryan Daffron, Tommy Akers and Denny Robinson.   
Memorials may be made to the Pike County Home Health and Hospice.
