Rev. Otis Dee Dameron

Rev. Otis Dee Dameron age 60 of Owensville formerly of Belle passed away at his home on March 22, 2009.  Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11:00 A.M. at the Mudd-Veach Funeral Home in Bowling Green with Rev. Judy Myrick officiating.  Burial will be in the Bowling Green Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5:00 – 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the family c/o of the Mudd-Veach Funeral Home.

Otis was born on April 5, 1948 in Frankford the son of James Otto and Margaret D. McIntosh Dameron.  He was married in Silex on October 17, 1971 to Regina Gayle Moore and she survives.  Other survivors include two sons Jonathon Caleb and Aaron Titus Dameron of the home; three brothers James and Donna Dameron of Curryville, Charles and Debbie Dameron of Bowling Green, Floyd and Elaine Dameron of Curryville and many other family members and friends.  He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.
He was a member of the Assemblies of God denomination where he pastored for over 25 years. He ministered in Sumner, Shelbina and most recently in Belle for 13 years. He was currently a member of the Friendly Assembly of God Church in Gerald.  Otis served as a Commander with the Royal Rangers for many years and was also active in Boy Scouts where he was leader of Troop #22.

Pallbearers will be Charles W. Dameron, David Dameron, Ryan, Dameron, Bruce Dameron, Alan Dameron, Tony Dameron, Chris Green and Tim Bealmear.  Honorary pallbearers will be Sam Dameron, James K. Dameron, Tom Dameron, Joe Dameron, Paul Maier and Les Morris.
