Ronald Paul Denen, age 69 of Bowling Green passed away October 7, 2008 at his residence. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday at the Mudd-Veach Funeral Home in Bowling Green with Fr. Wayne Boyer officiating. Burial will be in the St. Clement Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4 until 8 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
He was born December 28, 1938 in St. Louis the son of Paul J. and Dorothy Helfrich Denen. He married Ann Lampkin in Camdenton on September 23, 1995, she survives. Other survivors include his mother Dorothy Vorwald of Bowling Green; two sons Paul Denen and wife Sue of Troy, Brian Provins and wife Angela of Iuka, MS; four daughters Pat Ryans and husband Donnie of Troy, Donna Gentry and husband Bill of Anacoco, LA, Jackie Denen of Troy, and Tammy Provins of Osage Beach; brother Tom Denen of St. Louis; 16 grandchildren Jeremy Broyles, Rusty Zumwalt, Marlayna Denen, Amy Ryans, Stephanie Maichin, Donnie Ryans Jr., Caroline Montgomery, Chancy Hammond, Billy Ray Gentry, Danielle Lotz, Audrey Milam, Drew Provins, Jesse Provins, Blake Provins, Allison Provins and Christian Provins. 5 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife JoAnn Porter, second wife Joyce Zeller, father, sister Joanne Neuner, and daughter Judy Denen.
Ronald was a member of the St. Clement Catholic Church, a fourth degree Knights of Columbus, He served in the United States Army from 1958 until 1960 where he earned the ranking on Private First Class, at which time he transferred to the reserves.
Serving as pallbearers will be Rusty Zumwalt, Jeremy Broyles, Billy Ray Gentry, Jason Denen, George Neuner and Paul Denen. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Steve Neuner, Thomas Denen Jr. Donald Neuner and Eric Zeller.
