Charles Anthony Flood, age 56, of Eolia passed away Sunday March 7, 2010 at the University of Missouri Medical Center in Columbia.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Friday at the Mudd-Veach Funeral Home in Bowling Green. Graveside services will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday at St. Marys Cemetery in Bridgeton.
Visitation will be held 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
He was born July 20, 1953 in St. Louis, the son of Edward and Orma Knight Flood. He was raised in St. Louis and later moved to Troy and then settled in Eolia. Charlie was serving as a member of the Eolia City Council. He was a car enthusiast and loved his Antique 1940 Ford Standard Coupe and was a collector of antique toys, pottery and clocks. Charlie never met a stranger and was a good storyteller.
He is survived by his loving wife of 29 years Stephanie Sue Fuqua Flood, his children Michael, of Eolia, Kyle and wife Mary of Troy, Stephanie of Troy, Elena Krenzel and husband James of Steedman; grandchildren Kaitlyn Rose Junge and Corrinne Krenzel; two brothers Dave Flood, Tommy Flood; two sisters Tina Gross and husband Tommy of St. Louis and Tonette Webb and husband Chris all of St. Louis, nephews, uncles, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, three children Julie Ann, John William and Charles Anthony Flood; one brother John Groceman and one sister Judith Ann Flood.
Serving as pallbearers will be Michael Fuqua, Shaun Fuqua, Greg Fuqua, Michael Flood, Kyle Flood and Timothy Flood.
