Mark Gosnell, age 42 of Fulton passed away unexpectedly May 26, 2009 in Bowling Green, MO. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, May 30, at the Mudd-Veach Funeral Home in Bowling Green with Minister Kenneth Gosnell officiating. Burial will be in the Riverview Cemetery in Louisiana. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until time of services on Saturday, at the funeral home.
He was born October 11, 1966, in Hannibal, the son of Brain Edward and Mary Helen Watts Gosnell. He married Cathryn Ellen Roan in Vandalia on April 25, 1987, she survives. Other survivors include his parents; brothers Mike Gosnell of Bowling Green, Kevin Gosnell and wife Theresa of Vandalia, Kenneth Gosnell and wife Shonda of Frederick, MD; sister-in-law Helen Dick and husband Kelley of Abilene, KS; nieces Maekayla Gosnell, Rachell Dick, Carlie Kast; nephews Daniel Dick, Kaiden Gosnell, Kale Kast. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, mother-in-law and father-in-law.
Mark grew up in Vandalia where he graduated from Van-Far High School in 1985. After graduation he moved to Washington D.C. where he served in the U.S. Army, he served from 1985 until his honorable discharge in 1989. While in the Army he earned the Presidential Service Badge, working with President Reagan and Bush. After his discharge he lived in Mexico for 7 years and then in Fulton for the last 13 years. He has worked for the Danuser Machine Company in Fulton for the past 19 years. He was currently attending the Art Institute for graphic design where he was holding a 4.0 GPA. He was a member of the First Christian Church in Vandalia.
Serving as pallbearers will be Mike Gosnell, Kevin Gosnell, Kenneth Gosnell, Tim Roan, Kelley Dick and Daniel Dick.
Memorial may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
