Roger Dean Gray, age 51 of New Hartford, passed away October 16, 2008. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, October 20, 2008 at the Mudd-Veach Funeral Home in Bowling Green with Pastor Gary Green officiating. Burial will be in the Smyrna Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Sunday, October 19th, at the funeral home.
Roger was born April 26, 1957 in Louisiana, the son of Don and Maxine Trower Gray. He married Helen May Gregory on May 11, 1977 in Vandalia, MO. She survives. Other survivors include four sons, Ryan Gray of Overland Park, KS, Brandon Gray and wife Amy of Troy, Chad Gray of Quincy, IL , Trevor Gray of the home; daughter Kelsey Gray of the home; sister Sandra Lesh and husband Richard of St. Peters; several nieces and nephews.
Roger graduated from Bowling Green High School in 1975. He earned his degree from the University of Missouri in Columbia in 1979. He formally sat on the University of Missouri AG Alumni Board. He was a former member of the Bowling Green Rotary Club. He worked for U.S. Bank for 14 years and currently served as the Vice President of Hannibal National Bank in Bowling Green. Roger loved his family, spending time with them and helping friends. He was involved in church and loved his Lord.
Serving as pallbearers will be Ryan Gray, Brandon Gray, Chad Gray, Mike Dempsey, Eric Lesh and Joel Edwards. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Trevor Gray, Joshua Gregory, Seth Gregory, Caleb Gregory and Benjamin Gregory.
