Russell Allen Gronek age 33 of Eolia passed away Saturday September 26, 2009.   Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at the Mudd-Veach Funeral Home in Bowling Green with Pastor Lee Hartley officiating.  Burial will be in the Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Bowling Green.  Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

He was born December 1, 1975 in St. Louis, the son of David Allen and Pamela Rose Finn Gronek.  On April 20, 1996, in Bowling Green, he married Amy Harrelson.  She survives.  Also surviving are three daughters Paige Gronek, Jenna Gronek and Tylie Gronek all of the home; his father of Eolia; two sisters Angela Gronek and Danielle Krauss both of Silex; maternal grandparents Allen and Patricia Finn of Vienna and paternal grandparents Bernard and Dorothy Gronek of St. Peters;  two aunts Tina Osterwisch of House Springs and Leisa Finn of St. Louis and four uncles Steve Finn of St. Louis, Michael Gronek of Rising Fawn, GA., John Gronek of St. Peters and Mark Gronek of St. Charles.  He was preceded in death by his mother and one sister Racheal Lynn Bradley.

Russell graduated from Clopton High School in 1994.  He was a member of the Local Carpenters Union 1875 and was employed with Triad Fabricators in Arnold. His hobbies were fishing, hunting, motorcycle riding, playing poker and building bonfires but loved spending time with his family most of all.

Serving as pallbearers will be Shawn Crenshaw, John Nicholson II, Tim Kimmel, Tom Kimmel, Justin Sanford and Billy Osterwisch.
