Angeline M. Grote age 91 of Bowling Green passed away Wednesday July 2, 2008 at the Lincoln County Medical Center in Troy. 

Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday at the St. Clement Catholic Church with Fr. Wayne Boyer officiating.  Burial will be in the St. Clement Cemetery.  Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday at the Mudd-Veach Funeral Home in Bowling Green.

She was born May 26, 1917 in Meppen, IL., the daughter of Herman and Catherine Siemer Tepen.  She was raised in Meppen, IL. where she married Edward Luebrecht.  She and her husband then moved to Pike County where she lived the rest of her life.  To this union seven children were born.  Edward preceded her in death April 19, 1957.  In 1960 she married Hubert Grote.  He preceded her in death on March 15, 1998. She was also preceded in death by one sister Marcella Orf; three brothers Emil, Fred and Leonard Tepen and two sons-in-law Donald Graham and Dan Hudson.

Survivors include seven children, Ralph Luebrecht and wife Lois of Higginsville, Gerald Luebrecht and wife Penny of Bowling Green, Harold Luebrecht and wife Cathy of Bloomington, IL; Marjorie Kohl and husband Ed of Silex, Jeanette Alloway and husband Bob of Silex, Evelyn Noah also of Silex and Helen Boudinier and husband Buck of Bloomington, IL.  Also surviving are many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; one sister-in-law Virginia Tepen of Meppen, IL . and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Mrs. Grote was a member of St. Clement Catholic Church and the Ladies Sodality serving as President in 1955-1956.

Serving as pallbearers will be Fred Tepen, Bob Tepen, Jim Tepen, George Tepen, Richard Tepen and Vincent Grote..

Memorials may be made to Masses or to the St. Clement Cemetery Fund.
