Anna Mae Grote age 82 of Bowling Green passed away Thursday August 21, 2008 at St. Luke’s Hospital in Chesterfield.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Monday at the St. Clement Catholic Church with Fr. Wayne Boyer officiating. Burial will be in the St. Clement Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Sunday at the Mudd-Veach Funeral Home in Bowling Green.
She was born August 28, 1925 in Bowling Green, the daughter of Herman Henry and Clara Helen Niehaus Grote. Ms. Grote lived all of her life in the Bowling Green and St. Clement area. Survivors include numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death were four brothers Alphonse Grote, Virgil Grote, Ernest Grote and Harry Grote in infancy and two sisters Adeline Tophinke and Frances Eckelkamp.
She had worked as a seamstress at several garment factories in the area and was a member of St. Clement Catholic Church. Her hobbies included sewing, crocheting, bowling, camping, fishing and painting. She also loved Cardinal baseball games.
Serving as pallbearers will be Gary Grote, Ronnie Grote, Danny Grote, Randy Grote, Rob Johnson, Jimmy Johnson Jr., Kevin Stumbaugh and Ryan Stumbaugh.
Memorials may be made to the donors choice.
