Helen O. Haddock age 81 of Vandalia passed away Thursday July 22, 2010 at the Tri-County Care Center in Vandalia.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday at the Mudd-Veach Funeral Home in Bowling Green with Rev. Nathan Detmer officiating. Burial will be in the Old Alexandria Cemetery near Troy. Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. Monday until the time of service at the funeral home.
She was born December 17, 1928 in Briscoe, the daughter of Amasa Anson and Martha Elizabeth Bufford Belville. On December 6, 1948 in Troy, she married Walter W. Haddock. He preceded her in death in April 1979.
Survivors include two sons Walter Haddock and wife Betty of Curryville, Kenny Haddock and fiancée Debbie of Vandalia; three grandchildren; three great grandchildren; one sister Alvina Collins of Troy and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter Bonnie Stonebarger; two sisters Nellie Marie Adkins and Hazel Laird.
Mrs. Haddock lived in Silex until moving to Vandalia in 1999. She had attended Southside Baptist Church when able. She enjoyed her flowers, watching birds, and chickens. She also enjoyed the activities at the Nursing Home and spending time with her family.
Serving as Pallbearers will be Greg Haddock, Clint Haddock, Klayton Haddock, Mike cook, R. T. Momphard, Randy Momphard and Roy Sisson.
