Pauline Fisher Hansen age 85 of Frankford, passed away Sunday November 8, 2009 at the Pike County Memorial Hospital in Louisiana. Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Thursday at the Frankford Christian Church with Revs R. E. and Jennie Moore officiating. Burial will be in the Grand View Burial Park in Hannibal. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Mudd-Veach Funeral Home in Bowling Green.
She was born September 15, 1924 in Ralls County near Frankford, the daughter of Bart and Flossie Epperson Griffin. She married Dawson Fisher April 2, 1944. He preceded her in death in 1976. She then married Dr. E. P. Hansen on December 23, 1994. He preceded her in death in 1996.
Survivors include one daughter Pam Williams and husband Tom of Bowling Green; three nieces Vivian Silva of Jefferson City, Beverly Jane Andrews of Bowling Green, Marjorie Knipmeyer of Quincy, IL; three great nieces and three great nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister Georgia Andrews; two nephews Bart and Francis Andrews in infancy.
She grew up on the farm. She graduated from Frankford High School in 1942 and Gem City Business College in Quincy, Ill. in 1943. She had been a member of the Frankford Christian Church for over 50 years where she served as a Deacon and was a member of the Merry Aids class. Mrs. Hansen had been a member of the Haw Creek Club in Frankford for many years and also belonged to the Frankford Booster Club in the 1950’s and 1960’s. She had worked as a bookkeeper at Wendt-Sonis in Hannibal. She then was a homemaker and Avon Sales Representative, then worked as the Frankford City Clerk and Treasurer for many years. She then worked as a Medical Receptionist for Dr. E. P. Hansen. Mrs. Hansen enjoyed needlepoint, embroidery, counted cross stitch and gardening.
Serving as pallbearers will be Brad Darnell, David Darnell, Scott Baumgartner, Harry Benn, Barkley Pritchett and Steve Spegal.
Memorials may be made to the Frankford Christian Church.
