Funeral services for Lois L Hanson, 91 of Columbia, Missouri were held on Saturday May1st at 10 a.m. at Mudd-Veach Funeral Home in Bowling Green, Missouri with John Veach officiating.  Burial was in Concord Cemetery, Bowling Green, Missouri.
Visitation was held Friday from 5-8 p.m. at Mudd-Veach Funeral Home in Bowling Green, Missouri.
Mrs. Hanson died Monday April 26, 2010 at Boone Hospital Center in Columbia, Missouri.
Lois was born April 15, 1919 in Beggs, Oklahoma to William Edward and Bertie Jane Reed Horton.  She was married to Glen Stanley Hanson for 66 years.  Stanley died June 29, 2003.
Lois is survived by one daughter, Charlotte Mosher and husband, Dennis of Woodward, Oklahoma; two sons, Glen Stanley Hanson, Jr. and wife, Bobbie of Lake Mary, Florida; and Phillip Frank Hanson and wife Brenda of Columbia, Missouri; 19 grand-children; 47 great-grandchildren; and 11 great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Marcena Horton and Pearl Baker of Bakersfield, California.
She was preceded in death by her son Gary Hanson; 3 sisters, Charlotte Horton, Erma McCraney, and Georgia Casey; and 3 brothers, Bobbie Eugene Horton, Billy Horton, and Spencer Horton.
Lois’s family moved from Oklahoma to California in the early 30’s and attended schools at Avenal and Riverdale, California.  It was there where she met the love of her life, Stanley Hanson while he was working in the Civilian Conservation Corps.  In 1946 they moved to Missouri and purchased Judge Straube’s two story house and farm ground. Lois was a loving wife and mother and active in community affairs.  She had worked at a clothing store, The Bowling Green Times and had been a Stanley Products dealer, Watkins dealer and an insurance agent. Lois was a member of the Farmer Farmerette Club and the Bowling Green Business and Professional Women’s Club, an organization dedicated to service and betterment of the community.  In 1986 she was named by the BPW as Woman of the Year.   
Memorial contributions may be given to the Concord Cemetery Association in
care of Mudd-Veach Funeral Home.
