G.A. Harlinger

G. A. Harlinger age 82 of Mexico, formerly of Bowling Green passed away Saturday June 21, 2009 at the Missouri Veterans Home in Mexico.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Mudd-Veach Funeral Home in Bowling Green with Rev. Randall Cone officiating.  Burial will be in the Bowling Green Cemetery.  Visitation will be held Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.

He was born June 25, 1926 in Frankford, the son of Gerald D. and Cornelia Springer Harlinger.  He married Marie Henderson in Vandalia.  She preceded him in death July 1998.  Survivors include one sister Delores Wilson and husband Pete; one aunt Jewell Mason and two nieces Lawanah Gillette and Tonya Herman all of Mexico. 

Mr.  Harlinger served in the United States Army during the Korean conflict.  He worked for his father in the electrical business for several years in Bowling Green then moved to Fort Meyers, FL. where he worked as an electrician for Lee County until his retirement.  Upon his retirement he returned to Bowling Green.  He then moved to Mexico due to his illness.  He enjoyed fishing and he and his wife loved to travel.  He was a member of the Bowling Green Presbyterian Church.

Serving as pallbearers will be Bill Raufer, Mark Raufer, Pete Wilson and Paul Gillette.
