Iva F. Hatcher

Iva F. Hatcher age 87 of  Mundelein, Illinois, formerly of Whiteside passed away Friday November 23, 2007 at her residence.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday November 28 at the Mudd-Veach Funeral Home in Bowling Green with Rev. Robert Warren officiating.  Burial will be in the Eolia Cemetery.  Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service on Wednesday.

She was born June 25, 1920, in New Canton, Ill., the daughter of Osborne and Greta Hanson Saxbury  Hopkins.  Survivors include her children James Browne and wife Mary and Vernon Browne all of Mundelein, Ill., Linda Taylor and husband Benny of Zion, Ill., Jack Hatcher of Mesa, Az.; seventeen grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren; one sister Lilly Madden and one sister-in-law Ruby Hopkins both of Eolia.  She was preceded in death by her husband Jesse Hatcher; one son Alfred Hopkins; one grandson Gene Hopkins; 2 brothers Duward Saxbury and Richard Hopkins, one sister Frances Hopkins LeMay.

She had lived in Florida for the past 40 years before moving to Mundelein, Ill where she had lived for the past 10 months.  She was a member of VFW Post 4953 Ladies Auxiliary in Eolia.  She was also a very active member of the Church of God in Bonita Springs, Florida.
