Jan Robert Johnson

Jan Robert Johnson age 63 of Bowling Green passed away Monday February 23, 2009 at his home. 

Memorial services will be held 7:00 p.m. Thursday at the Mudd-Veach Funeral Home in Bowling Green.  Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until the time of service Thursday at the Funeral Home.

He was born January 25, 1946 in Moscow, ID., the son of Ralph and Vivian Dixon Johnson.  He is survived by two sons Michael Johnson of Winfield, Andrew Johnson of Troy; one daughter Jennifer Davis and husband Benjamin of Troy; his father of O’Fallon; one grandson Ryan Johnson of Winfield and one sister Gail Rogers and husband Johnny of Wright City.  He is also survived by his former wife Patricia Polston of Troy.  He is preceded in death by his mother.

Mr. Johnson lived most of his life in the O’Fallon and Troy areas before moving to Bowling Green two years ago..  In his early years he was a lab technician in St. Louis before working as a corrections officer, first working in Jefferson City for five years and then transferred to Northeast Correctional Center in Bowling Green.  He was a member of National Rifle Association.  He enjoyed hunting and guns.
