Orpha Irene Kuntz, age 88, Huntington, died at 9:20 p.m. Friday (March 12, 2010) at Millers Merry Manor in Wabash IN.

Orpha was born April 2, 1921 in Cargo, MO to Terry and Mable Marie (Smith) Sanderson. Orpha married Walter Alvin Kuntz on December 2, 1939 in Bowling Green, MO. He preceded her in death on November 2, 1978.

Orpha was a retired housewife and a farmers wife. She was also a member of the Grassy Creek Baptist Church in Louisiana, MO.

Survivors include two daughters – Mrs. Jim (Ruth) Tate of Huntington, and Mrs. LeRoy (Marie) Dandridge of New London, MO; two sons – John (Betty) Kuntz of Frankford, MO and Carl Kuntz of Hannibal, MO; one brother – George Sanderson of Iowa; 15 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren, and 7 great-great grandchildren. Her parents, three brothers – Lloyd Sanderson, T.J. Sanderson, and Jimmy Sanderson, precede her in death.

Visitation will be from 12 Noon – 2 p.m. Wednesday (March 17, 2010) at the Grassy Creek Baptist Church, Louisiana, MO. Following the visitation, the funeral service will then be held at 2:00 p.m with the Rev. Brook Kurth officating. Burial will be in the Fairview Cemetery, Louisiana, MO.
