Lynda Catherine Lambert age 65 of Bowling Green went home to be with the Lord after a lengthy battle with cancer on Friday October 16, 2009 at the Hannibal Regional Hospital.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Monday at the Mudd-Veach Funeral Home in Bowling Green with Tom Davis officiating. Burial will be in the Fairview Grassy Creek Cemetery near Louisiana. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
She was born March 21, 1944 in Hannibal, the daughter of Charles Warren, Sr. and Barbara Leone Whipple Anderson. She married Raymond Mickey Rubemeyer in 1959. He preceded her in death. She then married Raymond Lambert on May 17, 1980 in Perry.
Survivors include her mother of Louisiana; her husband of Bowling Green; three sons Michael Ray Rubemeyer of Bowling Green, Bradley Lee Rubemeyer of Hannibal, James Scott Rubemeyer of Bowling Green; two step daughters Kim Kirkwood and husband Richard of Elberta, AL, Roxanne Goodwin and husband Bobby of Foley, AL.; five grandchildren Leslie Rubemeyer, Erica Rubemeyer, Logan Rubemeyer, Ashley Rubemeyer and Michael Rubemeyer; three great grandchildren; four brothers Warren Anderson and wife Linda Anderson of Glendale, AZ., Les Anderson of Louisiana, Neil Anderson and wife Lynda of Ashburn, Vance Anderson and Erin of Louisiana; three sisters Shelia Radford and husband Ronald of Louisisna, Jeanne Jolley and husband Gary of Laddonia, Lori Brown and husband Ted of Louisiana.
She was preceded in death by one son Vince Allen Rubemeyer and her father.
Lynda had a deep love for God and attended a nondenominational gathering. She enjoyed giving homecare to elderly and those who were ill and touched many with her care. Her most special interest was her son Brad. Lynda cherished her family and children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Lynda’s home and heart was always open to anyone who needed her.
Pallbearers will be Les Rubemeyer, Logan W. Rubemeyer, Neil C. Anderson, Leslie R. Anderson, Mike R. Rubemeyer Jr. and Keith J. Anderson.
Memorials may be made to the Pike County Home Health and Hospice or to the American Cancer Society.
