Michael Allen LaZear, of Fort Worth, Texas, formerly of Bowling Green, died July 29, 2008 as a result of a motorcycle accident.
He was born July 25, 1971, to Tom and Sandi Allen LaZear of Bowling Green. His 37 short years were divided between Bowling Green and Texas. One of Mike’s greatest loves was cars. He spent most of his time working on, painting, buying, selling or trading anything with four wheels. He was currently employed with Advantage Auto Works in Forth Worth, Texas. His only greater love was his family and friends. Nothing meant more to Michael than his family and friends. The most important person in his life was his daughter, Tori. He couldn’t have been more proud of any accomplishment in his life.
Mike was preceded in death by his mother, Sandi LaZear; nephew, Chase Allen LaZear; and maternal grandparents, James Edward and Velma Mae Allen.
He leaves behind his daughter, Tori, of Texas; his father, Tom LaZear; brothers, Travis LaZear and wife, Reggie; and Clay LaZear and girlfriend, Christy; nephews, Chance Allen LaZear and Clay Michael LaZear; and nieces, Shelby Lynn and Andrea Nicole Doyle; all of Bowling Green. Also, his paternal grandparents,Thomas John and Elizabeth LaZear, Oregon . Michael also leaves behind a very special friend, Stephanie Hansen, and children; all of Fort Worth, Texas.
A memorial service was held Thursday, July 31, at North Hills Funeral Home in North Richland Hills, Texas.
Visitation was held Monday, August 4, from 5:00 to 8:00 pm at Mudd-Veach Funeral Home. The funeral was held on Tuesday, August 5, at 10:00 am, also at Mudd-Veach with the Rev. Jerry Gamm officiating. Burial was in Fairview Cemetery in Frankford, MO. Memorials may be made to the family in care of Tom LaZear. Pallbearers were Chris Brooks, Rod Highfell, Gene Leverenz, Bill Henke, Jason Farley, and Bill Shaw.
Although we know he is not alone, we will miss his smiling face and infectious laugh more than words could ever say….
