Evaline (McBride) Luck

Evaline (McBride) Luck age 97 of Vandalia formerly of Bowling Green passed away Sunday December 16, 2007 at the Tri-County Care Center in Vandalia.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at the Mudd-Veach Funeral Home in Bowling Green with Fr. Russell Judge officiating.  Burial will be in the St. Clement Cemetery.  Visitation will be held 9:30 a.m. Wednesday until the time of service at the funeral home.

She was born June 20, 1910 in Farmer, to Eads and Nessie Sweiger Palmer.  She married Harry McBride on February 28, 1927 and he preceded her in death on November 21, 1960.  In 1976, she married Alex Luck.  He preceded her in death in 1990.

Mrs. Luck is survived by three sons Leon McBride and wife Janice, Leo McBride and wife Carolyn, Larry McBride and wife Linda all of Vandalia; two daughters Mary Andrews and husband Dean of Farber and Delores Miller and husband Nolan of Bowling Green.  She is also survived by one step-son Gene Luck and wife Mary Jane of Milton, Fl.; three step-daughters JoAnn Schaper and husband Philip Jr. of Bowling Green, Barbara Norvel and husband John of Elsberry, Linda Muensterman and husband Bob of Silex; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, step grandchildren and great step grandchildren; one sister Martha Lee Grant and husband Lloyd of Fort Meyers, Fl.; two sister-in-laws Lola Blanche Palmer of Vandalia and Dorothy Gass of St. Louis.  She was preceded in death by her parents, one grandson David McBride, great granddaughter Anna Rosenmiller, one brother Sam Palmer, two sisters Mary Etta Cross and Guila Howard.

Mrs. Luck lived in the Bowling Green area most of her life.  She loved growing flowers, playing cards, decorating her house and traveling.

Serving as pallbearers will be Jeff Miller, Norman McBride, Anthony McBride, Brad McBride, DeWayne Whiteside and Jesse Wasson.  Honorary pallbearers will be Darrell McBride, Raymond Wiggins, Doug Muensterman, Dean Muensterman and Darrell Whiteside.
