Kenneth E. Norton age 55 of Troy passed away Saturday December 1, 2007 at his home.  Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at the St. Alphonsus Catholic Church in Millwood, with Fr. Paul Telken officiating.  Burial will be in the St. Alphonsus Cemetery.  Visitation for Mr. Norton will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Mudd-Veach Funeral Home in Silex. 

He was born September 14, 1952 in St. Charles, the son of Edward Jr. and Lorraine Hahn Norton.  Survivors include one sister Ruth Ann Norton of Troy and many cousins and friends.  Preceding him in death were his parents, grandparents Edward Sr. and Clara Norton and Louis and Regina Hahn. 

He lived on a farm south of Millwood until approximately 15 years age when he moved to Troy.  He attended St. Alphonsus Catholic Church then after moving to Troy he attended Sacred Heart Catholic Church.  Mr. Norton was a truck driver for Schwiete Trucking in Hawk Point, then worked for Bill Gibson Trucking in St. Louis for about 20 years before retiring.  He enjoyed gardening and visiting with people.

Serving as pallbearers will be Bill Schlote, Eddie Huber, Jr., Bill Sullivan, Bill Peasel, Mark Dwyer and Jerry Beck.

Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or to the American Cancer Society.
