Adrain Dale Rutherford, age 70 of Bowling Green, passed away April 25, 2010 at the Pike County Memorial Hospital.  Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am on Wednesday, April 28 at the Mudd-Veach Funeral Home in Bowling Green with the Rev. Gary Green officiating.  Burial will be in the Fairmount Cemetery in Middletown.  Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 5 until 8 pm at the funeral home. 

He was born December 15, 1939 in Middletown, the son of Lowell E and Lydia Belle Smith Rutherford.  He married Betty J. Barton in Farber, on September 24, 1961.  She survives.  Other survivors include son Lindell N. Rutherford and wife Desiree of Silex; daughters Marcia J. Smith and husband Carl of Curryville, Monica S. Renner and husband Phil of Louisiana, Robin G. McChristian and husband Paul Wayne of Middletown; sisters Norma Walker of Green City and Joanne Mudd of Lancaster; grandchildren Chris Smith, Sarah Smith, Jennifer Rutherford, Nathan Rutherford, Justin Rutherford, Shelby Renner, Samantha Renner, Bryan Renner, Chase McChristian, and Olivia McChristian.  He was preceded in death by his parents.

Dale was born and raised in the Middletown area and lived the last 11 years in the Bowling Green area. He graduated from Bowling High School is 1957.  He was a member of the Middletown Baptist Church.  He was a farmer, working with grain and livestock.  He loved the outdoors, fishing, working with livestock and most of all, spending time with his grandchildren. 

Serving as pallbearers will be Phil Renner, Paul Wayne McChristian, Carl Smith, Lindell Barton, John Barton and Carroll LeMasters.  Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Larry Barton, Chris Smith, Nathan Rutherford, Justin Rutherford, Chase McChristian and Bryan Renner.

Memorial may be made to the Pike County Hospice.
